My name is Kay Paris, although most people call me Kayc. I started my business, The Hobbyist Co, when I was just 15 years old. I was fostered from then until 18 when I aged out and have been running my business full time ever since.

I have always loved learning and making things with my hands from a young age. I graduated in 2023 from a computer science focused high school which helped me develop the technical skills needed to build my company's website and online store. 

The Hobbyist Co. began as me making unique jewelry pieces and selling old clothes and accessories locally to afford the cost of living, but it has grown into so much more. I now offer a wide range of fun and interesting products that cover multiple categories, from jewelry to accessories to plush toys. My goal is to provide items that will bring joy and self-expression to all of my customers, no matter their interests. 

Nature has always fascinated me, especially the oddities and abnormalities found within it. I draw a lot of inspiration for my product designs from the shapes, colors, and patterns seen in reptiles, plants, and other parts of the natural world.

As my business continues to grow, I hope to keep expanding into new categories while maintaining that focus on quirky and exciting products that cater to people's different aesthetics and styles.
